Using Brand Names for your Golf Outing

Whether they are avid golfers or that “once a year I play in this fun tournament” golfers, combining your logo with name brand golf items is a great way to really reach clients, make employees look good and also tie the value and image of your company in with the quality and reputation of the brand.
Company or Organization sponsored golf outings are a popular way to build morale of employees and volunteers or as a low key way to build relationships with clients, potential clients, vendors and donors.  By using a high quality golf polo or wind shirt such as Nike (like we wrote about here:http://swagqueen.com/blog/view/1105/new-nike-golf-items-for-2014 , Ashworth or Cutter & Buck, not only are you making your team easily recognizable on the course, but these types of shirts are ones that they will continue to wear off the course, thus increasing your visibility.  Of course you want to have your logo embroidered on the shirt, but don’t get stuck on the left chest.  Just as Nike golf shirts have the iconic swoosh on the sleeve, you can add your company name to a sleeve or back (just under the collar)- or have more than one message in different locations.

Practically every tournament as a golf swag bag that your company can to contribute to.  While tees and divot tools are popular, a little creativity will make sure you earn a coveted spot in their golf bag (or every day use).  Single or packed in a sleeve, Titleist ProV1 logo golf balls are a favorite choice.  A Slazenger poker chip ball marker with your logo on the second side runs around $2 each, but with a much higher perceived value.  For a higher end item, check out the Victorinox Swiss Army golf tool, it comes with the iconic Victorinox logo and you can add your one color screen printed logo on the case beside it.  Or take it to a whole new level and actually provide the swag bag for all the goodies with an Ogio cooler that we can decorate with your logo by screen printing or embroidery.

Another option for co-branding in sponsored golf tournaments is providing a prize for the longest putt or longest drive, closest to the pin, etc.  A Puma rolling duffle bag that can be embroidered with your logo on the front or top makes a great gift.  Add the name of the contest they won and it becomes even more memorable.  A Callaway ball retriever is always a handy tool to have in the golf bag.

Other items that make great gifts and/or prizes for golf outing are those that have life beyond the course.  Tifosi or Maui Jim sunglasses will be used for years to come.  While these can’t be imprinted on the arm of the glasses we can add your logo to the case or to the microfiber cleaning cloth to be included.  Mag-Lites are a non-traditional golf item, but that’s what makes them a great choice. By laser etching or screen printing your brand on the flashlight or on the case you have brand recognition that will last.
